The Stentor name is known for quality, consistency and reliability. Stentor violins, violas, cellos and basses take students from their very first lesson up to professional level. At Stentor, we recognise that the most important instrument for any musician is the one they start on. Stentor violins, violas, cellos and double basses are carved from solid tonewoods, from the initial instrument shape to the finer details. Instruments are individually thicknessed for quality of sound. We carefully control the specification and measurements of Stentor instruments at our own factory workshops to produce instruments that have the essential characteristics of good tone and consistent quality control. On all Stentor instruments, the bridge and soundpost are carefully fitted to ensure the best playability.
