For over two decades Trius has become an intrinsic player in the distribution of professional audio and musical instruments products in Germany. Global players like Amina, Audiocenter, AUDIX, Symetrix, t&mSystems, Orange and others have become highly successful in the German market due to Trius’s consistent and holistic sales and marketing endeavours. Trius’s success has come about because of the highly experienced and motivated professional personnel running dedicated departments for sales and support, service and engineering, marketing and IT and logistics.
The professional and modern logistics infrastructure in combination with motivated and skilled staff also allows for smooth administration and handling even of high-output products. To satisfy the growing demand for adequate warehousing, fast delivery times and just-in-time shipments, Trius has opened a new logistics center recently. Orders received by 3 p.m. are shipped within the same day. When necessary, for example during Christmas season, the warehouse can be run in two shifts. That way goods can be received and shipped nearly 24 hours a day.
Apart from conventional distribution concepts Trius offers a sales model called “Hybrid Distribution”. This is highly innovative system creates a new and closer relationship between manufacturer and distributor, and is particularly useful for manufacturers with a broad portfolio of high turnover products. ”Hybrid Distribution” involves the exchange of information on production-, purchasing-, stock- and sales-data between distributor and manufacturer automatically on a daily or weekly basis. This system can be tailored for each relationship allowing for an information flow that suits each party.
The information extracted from this data exchange can immediately flow into production planning on the one hand and into the distribution channel on the other. This “transparent marketing” enables both parties to build efficiencies in a hitherto unmatched way.
This unique concept provides usually unknown insights into the sales history of a product to the Trius-partner and supplier. Which customer bought which product, when and how many? Which discounts were applied? This information can be vital for a manufacturer!
Trius utilize an ERP-System, which is able to support this idea in many ways.
At Trius we are convinced that ”Hybrid Distribution“ is, for many manufacturers, the distribution concept for the future. We can certainly say that conventional distribution is no longer always the obvious solution to a manufacturers distribution requirementsto a manufacturer´s distribution requirement.
