Wallquest, Inc. is one of the largest and most innovative wall covering manufacturers in the world.
Its broad collection of wall coverings presents a style and variety second to none. With leading edge products from around the world, Wallquest speaks to the discerning individual who wants to make a distinctive statement. The collections appeal to consumers who appreciate true choice by offering an eclectic set of designs. Wallquest opens a world of colors, textures and treatments to offer a custom finish option to any room in the home.
Wallquest takes an environmentally friendly approach toward wallpaper production. Its collections use water based inks and are printed on paper sourced from well-managed, renewable forests or recycled sources. As part of the recycling process, no excess waste/inks are released into the public water system, and all of the surplus inks are taken off site and properly processed and disposed of. Wallquest is committed to contributing to a healthy indoor environment and a sustainable future.
Through varied techniques, each design and collection is unique, from large-scale avant garde prints to small traditional motifs or exquisite classic designs.
The heritage of Wallquest goes back to the 1820's, to The Lafoy family of Lyon, France. The family has been involved with wallpaper from that time until today. In 1938 Henry Lafoy founded a wallpaper business which was titled Consortium du Papier Peint.
Henry introduced héliogravure (rotogravure) printing and paper backed vinyl to wallpaper. Inaltera produced surface print, hand flock, rotogravure, handprint, transfer print and many different types of textile wallcoverings.
Mergers and acquisitions led to the creation of Wallquest, Inc. in 1985. Family-owned and operated, today the company has three manufacturing plants in the United States and its products are sold in more than 50 countries.
For over 20 years Wallquest has been a pioneer in wallpaper design and technique. Advancing from distributor to manufacturer helped Wallquest become a front-runner in the wallpaper industry.
Each of its six brands – Sandpiper Studios, Pelican Prints, Printers Guild, Fairwinds Studios, Studio 465 and Carl Robinson – are representative of Wallquest and its ability to create distinctive, sought after collections. Quality, color and design, product innovation and unwavering dedication to tradition have earned the company a respected place in the global home furnishings sector.
