For casting manufacturing WESTERN GROUP is having its own state of the art foundry facility where in centrifugal as well shell moulding processes are being followed for manufacturing all grades of Grey and Ductile iron where in foundry is backed up with full-fledged in-house laboratory which is supported by new generation testing facilities such as SPECTRO for chemistry, IMAGE ANALYZER for microstructure, BRINAL HARDNESS TESTER and many more for delivering desired quality as per the defined standards.
For preparing homogeneous melt of various grades, dual track – medium frequency - induction furnaces of Inductotherm– USA are being utilized.
For manufacturing liners and sleeves with precise process control, centrifugal casting is done on 8 station fully automatic centrifugal casting machines having latest features such as auto die cleaning, auto die coating, auto pouring with robotic arm from induction holding furnace, auto water cooling and extraction.
For manufacturing Air-cooled and Water-cooled barrels with precise process control, shell moulded casting are manufactured on automated shell moulding line.
Machining of Inside & Outside diameter for all castings is done on CNC machines by using jelly filled expandable mandrills to get consistent output of geometrical parameters. Followed by the same grinding of outside diameter is done on centre less grinders for maintaining minimum parallelism and ovality on all diametric profiles. Western group uses fully automatic honing machines having inbuilt air sizing gauge for both PLATEAUas well slide honing process.
Full-fledge metrological lab of WESTERN group is well equipped with state of the art measuring instruments such as RoundnessTester, Computerised shadow graph, Contour graph, Latest diameter checking instruments, Hommel tester for checking surface roughness, Automated pressure testingm/c, Air electronic gradingm/c and many more.
Finish products are marked for identification by way of laser and get cleaned on automatic cleaning machine for maintaining desired millipore values before it gets packed in desired export worthy packing.
