Lederwaren Meier focuses on the business of own brands. CEO Sven Meier wants to pave the way for the second generation already today in order to establish the family business for a long-term and successfully future. „We encounter with this decision the changing circumstances in the market and at the consumers and focuses amongst other things on emotionality and added value“, justifies Sven Meier the new assortment strategy. The owner-managed family business Wilhelm Johann Meier GmbH is able to look back on a more than 90 years old history. Decades, which were shaped of changes, of decisions and the courage, to do things otherwise than the competitors. Meier Lederwaren does not hold on old traditions, but evermore broke new grounds - guarantee of success and philosophy of the Meier Lederwaren company at the same time. The year 2014 was a further milestone in the company history, started at the beginning of 2014 with the purchase of the former Goldkrone building on Heinrich-Krumm-Street. The business of CEO Sven Meier thereby remained faithful with his own roots and his hometown and nevertheless it was the starting shot for a complete reorientation of the enterprise. The fundamental pillars of the company were so far the license brands „Funbag“ and „Sunny“, as well as the own brand „Maestro“. With this lining up the company has set new benchmarks at the market with the concentration on the development and sales of leather and high-quality synthetic (PU) bags.“The Know-How we have builded up in the synthetic sector and which has made us a strong and successfully competitor in the hotly contested market of these bags, we want to push along under the brand of „Emily & Noah“. Additionally we will prove our leatherware competence again with our brand „Sina Jo“ and will expand this section“, Sven Meier announces. There are diverse reasons of the new realignment; Meier Lederwaren especially cares about to prepare the ground for the second generation. The company will remain as a family business, signaled by the fact, that the names of the new two brands are these from the children of the both Meier-Brothers. „We have discussed this long and have agreed, that nothing is so emotional and binding than our own children.“
