The company
A.Lycogiannis was established in 1944 from Lycogiannis family. At the beginning the company produced only travel luggage. Some years later introduced the school-bag range. At first the company was located in the center of Athens, at Thission area. Few years later, in 1974 the company has been named “LYC-SAC”, the name that has ever since.
From 1984, the company moved to a new privately owned building (3.000 m2) situated in Metamorfossi Attikis, a central area with easy access in the Northern suburbs of Athens.
The year 2000 the company started to produce also in China, still keeping the high quality standards.
The employees
LYC-SAC employs 18 people in sales force, distribution dept., management, logistics, telemarketing, secretary, design, delivery, representatives and commercial marketing and 20 people in manufacture force.
The production
The manufacturing capacity of the company is about 100.000 units per year. The raw materials are imported from the biggest European factories. LYC-SAC collection is always made with up-to-date designs and colors, modern styles, competitive prices in school-bags, backpacks, pencil-cases and nursery-bags.
Exports
Since 1980 LYC-SAC started exporting its products, about 50% of the production is exported in all over the world.
LYC-SAC products are exhibited every year at the International Fair of Frankfurt and at the Stationery fair in Athens both with great success.
The future
Year by year the improvements cover all the sections: construction, technical equipment, design, warehouse, exports, logistics and IT. Advertising is also a very important part of our movements.
The company’s goal is to keep its quality and its name in the highest level of the market.
