The ABN Braun AG is a medium-sized family business which is managed in the meantime by the 2nd and 3rd generation.

ABN develops and manufactures products and systems of the electrical and building technology.

Today ABN employs a 240 staff on five locations in Germany. The headquarter, main factory and sales centre for Southern Germany is located in Neuenstadt am Kocher, in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The sales region North-West is served by the branch office in Cologne, the region North-East by the branch office in Dahlewitz near Berlin. The branch in Nossen near Dresden is responsible for Saxony and Thuringia for all matters. Since autumn 2007 ABN has an additional location in Nuremberg where the outdoor products will be produced and delivered.

ABN sells its products mainly through the wholesaler network in Germany. All four national sales centers are additional supported by 20 representatives.

But also international is a high demand for ABN products. In the last few years the sales in other European countries has been increased continuously and the share of turnover from export is 25%
at present. Long-lasting partnerships and Joint Ventures are supporting this success. Currently ABN opens new export markets.

Electricity will be soon the main energy source and the segments renewable energies, E-mobility, decentralized power generation, future-orientated electronic infrastructure as well as the energy efficiency in  intelligent, energetic buildings, are the strategic business areas of tomorrow.

ABN has invested in this future and in the perspectives of the three-stage distribution channel through the electrical wholesale network: a new customer competence centre with an own training centre, a new innovation centre for the strategic product portfolio, an own central logistic centre and the economical realignment of the production processes.

The ABN Braun AG commits again as an entrepreneur to the business location Germany as production location and to the bundling of energies for “Made in Germany”.
 

Whether public sector, residential , commercial or industrial building, ABN offers a complete system in the breadth and depth of the product range. The production spectrum of ABN includes only high-quality products, from the small distribution board AMIGO+, over the meter- and distribution system ESPRO up to the 4000 Ampere, modular switchgear system ARS.

The ABN meter panel system ESPRO is the answer from ABN to the changes in the European energy market – the meter cabinet of the future for the electronic household meter eHZ.

Meanwhile ABN develops, manufactures and sells its own electronic household meter eHZ.

In summer 2007, ABN acquired the tools as well as the rights of names and patents of the well-known company GEYER. To accelerate the acceptance of the regular customers, ABN has retained the original GEYER article descriptions  and article numbers, which are known for years.
Therefore ABN offers today the most extensive product range “Outdoor” on the market in the segments meter- and house connection pillars, measuring transformers, street lighting and distribution pillars, distribution boards and power distributions for fairgrounds and market places.
