ADEL is the pioneer and leader of the Turkish writing instruments industry, producing mainly wood-cased blacklead, colour and copying pencils, ballpoint pens, fibre pens, oil pastels, watercolours and erasers. ADEL markets its products as well as some imported products in Turkey through a strong and efficient distribution network and is the overall market leader in its product range. ADEL, specialized in wood-cased pencils, also manufactures pencil slats from poplar wood at its Giresun plant in Turkey and has enough production capacity to meet the needs of its customers. In 1999, ADEL received EN ISO 9002 Certificate from the TÜV CERT Certification Body of RWTÜV for its Istanbul plant and currently holds EN ISO 9001: 2000 Certificate.
