Founded in 1982 by two employees in a garage in California, Belkin now employs more than 1400 people in offices throughout North America, Europe and Australasia and remains a privately owned company. During its 25 years of existence, Belkin has enjoyed continuous growth of up to 35% annually and was twice listed as one of the 500 fastest growing private companies in the US by Inc. magazine.
Belkin is headquartered in Compton, California and established its first European HQ operations in the UK in 1996, now located in Rushden, Northamptonshire. Since then, the company has experienced rapid growth and establishing further European sales and marketing offices in the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia and Dubai.
Belkin invests heavily in research and development. Since inception the company has expanded its engineering expertise to further strengthen its capabilities in USB and peripheral-sharing product lines. Belkin's New York-based Research and Development team works closely with the Innovation Design Group, a dedicated product design team based in Hollywood California, to create the innovative and functional product mix that continue to set Belkin apart from its competitors.
Belkin's state-of-the-art 20,000 m2 European Headquarters and Distribution Centre enforces the strictest of quality standards in the industry.
