BIA Cordon Bleu, Inc. is a privately held company that has been in business since 1952. At the time of the company’s founding, many items used in gourmet French Cuisine were unavailable in the United States. Monsieur Jean Mouraille, the company’s founder, a French engineer who had fallen in love with California, made frequent trips to France to visit factories and bring back the best of French ovenproof porcelain. Since it’s founding the company has changed ownership twice. Each owner expanded the company and further carved out its niche in the marketplace.
In addition to our Sales/Marketing office in South San Francisco and warehouse in Galt, CA, BIA also has a showroom and offices in New York and Hong Kong. Our award winning in-house art department can aid in shape, decal, and packaging development. Members of our Hong Kong and Mainland China office staff work full-time with our factories to constantly source and manufacture the best products possible.
Fashion, function and flexibility are the key concepts to our successful business strategy. We combine basic elements and concepts to create designs that reflect a modern attitude and a simple casual style. Our specialization in porcelain and stoneware gives BIA a thorough knowledge of the manufacturing process. It enables us to develop various shapes, glazes and decals. Through combining product development with factory processes, we can bring products to the market at competitive prices.
Today, BIA manufactures and distributes a complete line of classic porcelain cooking and bakeware shapes, coffee/tea ware, dinnerware as well as contemporary shapes with unique glazes and decorations. Page
