The VDO ContiSys line, marketed by Continental, provides motor vehicle garages with sophisticated multi-brand diagnostic equipment and detailed information for troubleshooting and repairs.

The diagnostic units in the VDO ContiSys series, marketed by the automotive supplier Continental, are perfectly tailored to the everyday needs of repair facilities. The ContiSys OBD, for example, is specifically designed for servicing and repair work. It is small, handy and easy to use. By providing quick and easy access to important service functions the ContiSys OBD is an ideal tool for independent garages, garages with brand agreements, tire service centers and body shops. Besides providing repair shops with a wide range of spare parts, Continental thus offers them all the diagnostic equipment they need for successful repair work – from a single source.

The new ContiSys Scan II is just as easy to use as the ContiSys Check / Check TPMS. It is compatible with the vehicles of more than 40 manufacturers and supports a wide range of electronic systems installed in modern vehicles, from comfort systems to engine control units to modern brake systems like ABS and ESP. The large, high-contrast, colour touch screen can be read even in poor lighting conditions. The multiplexer and CAN controller are integrated in the unit. Vehicle-specific adapter cables for cars built prior to 1996 are available on request. The ContiSys Scan II which also features a guided troubleshooting is ideal for car repair facilities that require quick, easy communication with electronic devices over a wide range of functions.

The PC-based diagnostic system ContiSys VCI allows repair facilities to streamline their workflow in diagnostics and troubleshooting, which saves them hard cash. It consists of an interface module (VCI) and diagnostic software (DSI). The system provides a wide range of functions for diagnostics of control units, similar to that of ContiSys Scan. In addition, Continental is working on a TecDoc-based system which links information on diagnostics, repairs and parts. This makes ContiSys VCI the ideal solution for repair shops that must handle complex tasks in vehicle electronics.

The optional software update service ContiSys Update Plus is available via subscription for all ContiSys diagnostic systems, permitting users to keep their diagnostic software up to date at all times.

Troubleshooting in modern vehicles is becoming more and more complex. ContiSys Data is a service package provided by Continental to make these tasks easier. It is a complete information system, comprising technical data, circuit diagrams, assembly and disassembly instructions, information on fault symptoms and solution proposals. The package, which is available online or offline, is supplemented by a highly efficient hotline that provides garages with expert technical advice on vehicle technology. Vehicle repair shops are thus able to obtain spare parts, technical equipment and diagnostic knowledge from a single source, allowing them to successfully repair a wide variety of electronic vehicle systems.
