Learning through doing

Handicraft is a productive educational resource as a workmanship aptitude is learnt and developed through playing. The development of the child is enhanced through handicrafts, through the training of a tactile experience of the environment and more specifically of their manual dexterity.
All our kits contain instructions in German, French and English. For us it was also important that the children not only produce something but also learn something as well, our instructions therefore always have as the first section on the historical, physical or technical background.
The Braid Star is an attractive and well produced wooden object in its own right, the braid star is 8.5 cm Ø and 1.5 cm thick. A practical occupation for children from 4 years who can then make original shoelaces, head bands, friendship bracelets, a strap for Granny's glasses, there are many more possibilities: coloured or plain cords, cords with glitter threads or beads worked into them . The braid star can be transported anywhere, it fits easily in the pocket, and can be used in the waiting room at the doctor's, in a restaurant, on holidays in the car, train or plane, there is no dangerous needle needed.
