The company DOLLFUS & MULLER is nearly 200 years old and is specialised in textile finishing spare parts. It was established in 1811. Dollfus & Muller is the result of the merging of two companies in 1995 : Dollfus & Noack and Manufacture Muller. From the beginning of the 19th century these companies have been through many changes and worked in many business areas. They started by producing clothes for the Napoleonic French Army, but have, at the beginning of the 21st century, become a leading manufacturer of felts and open mesh conveyor belts for the Textile finishing and the Tannery industries.
DOLLFUS & MULLER manufactures open mesh conveyor belts, felts and satin wrappers for use in the textile finishing, non-woven industry and tannery. The high performance conveyor belts have been developed for all kind of dryers in the textile finishing process : Printing dryers, Relax dryers, Steaming machines (spongers) and Thermobonding ovens. They are heat resistant, and are made of various materials : Nomex, PEEK, Fibre glass coated with Teflon, Kevlar, Polyester, PPS,…
Our textile finishing felts or felt blankets are used in compactors (knitted fabrics finishing), calenders, sanforizing machines (Denim finishing,…), heat transfer printing machines, continuous decatizing machines (woollen fabrics finishing) and polishing machines. They are made of various selected fibres, such as the high temperature resistant Nomex or hydrolysis resistant polyester. For special applications, a silicone coating can be applied. The tannery felts are used in sammying, setting out and finishing process. The satins (wrappers) woven with mixed yarns are used in the woollen fabrics finishing process, and more precisely in the discontinuous decatizing machines. The DOLLFUS & MULLER satins are characterised by a high number of picks which ensure good finishing of the processed fabrics.
