Donaldson Membranes is the worldwide manufacturer of Tetratex® microporous expanded PTFE membranes, films and laminates, serving customers in industrial filtration, technical products and performance fabrics markets. Tetratex ePTFE membranes are designed for use in a diverse range of applications such as environmental and pollution control, fluids separation, water-resistant venting and the manufacturing of high performance apparel such as military and emergency services garments.
Tetratex® PTFE membrane is comprised of millions of small randomly connected fibrils which create a microporous structure many times smaller than can be seen by the naked eye. The specialist expertise at Donaldson Membranes enables us to manufacture ePTFE Membranes to a wide range of pore structures, widths and thickness to meet the most demanding industry requirements.

Industrial & Process Filtration

For pollution control devices employing fabric filter media, the best available control technology for the capture of fine and difficult particulate is recognized by industry experts as media utilizing ePTFE membranes. For markets including: cement, plastics, pharmaceutical, incineration, metallurgical and chemicals, Tetratex® products are designed to vastly improve the performance of traditional filter fabrics which rely on the formation of a surface filter cake to capture fine dust particles.
Technical Products
Our wide range of ePTFE membrane, film and laminated products solve problems in a variety of applications and uses including, microfiltration, vent and breather filters, lab anaylsis equipment, wet filters and crystal protection wrap. Tetratex® PTFE membrane is dimensionally and chemically stable in almost any environment ranging from -270ºC to +260ºC. Whilst it is extremely water repellent, the membrane still allows air and moisture vapour to pass through, resulting in an extraordinarily hydrophobic and breathable membrane.
