For sixty years, Dualit have reflected an attitude that’s fundamentally British. Dualit toasters can turn out hundreds of crisp, golden slices per hour. They combine functionality, reliability and style and are as much a part of British life as toast itself.
It should come as no surprise that the man who invented the Dualit toaster was an engineer. In 1945, Max Gort-Barton produced the original Dualit toaster from his workshop just off London’s Old Kent Road. Combining strength, versatility and ingenuity it was a toaster that set new standards, soon followed by a commercial toaster, incorporating a time switch amongst its many (entirely) original features.
Today Dualit toasters remain at the heart of the brand and are sold worldwide, being recognised as the best in the business. Many chefs continue to swear by their Dualit appliances.
Recent introductions to the collection have allowed customers to buy into the Dualit lifestyle. With a range of hard working consumer appliances in mouth-watering colours that are designed to sit in harmony with each other.
The company is still independent, family-owned and run.
