Emro Import-Export was established in 1938.
The company imported rubber medical and consumer items, such as warm water bottles, incontinence sheets and gootsteenonstoppers for medical and household wholesalers. Mercury thermometers were also an important product. Through business dealings in (former) East Germany, Emro came into contact with manufacturers of local porcelain, such as dinnerware and a large range of figurines from a.o. Meissen, Unterweisbach, Plaue and Alteste. In 1982 Emro acquired the Asian wholesale company Perlstein and Roeperbosch. A few years later, in 1985, Wetzlar Trading, importer of Chinese porcelain, was added to the ranks.

Emro Aziatica is presently the largest direct-warehouse importer of Asian porcelain and related articles in The Netherlands. Our most important customers are: Asian supermarkets and toko\'s, and giftware and interior design shops specializing in Asian products.

We have 15 employees, of which 4 serve our German customers. Our sales territory is: The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Latvia.
