Scholze GmbH & Co. KG began its outstanding tradition in 1921, in the east Saxon town of Zittau, where Reinhold Scholze founded the original company. Accessories for imported looms were produced at that time. Saxony's lovely Upper Lusatia was a pre-destined location for a company of that kind. The region's numerous weaving mills produced cloth had earned a high reputation far beyond the borders of Germany. At this early date, the company had begun to specialize the mass production of warp beams. The actual breakthrough came in 1936, when ribbed flanges first cast in a centrifugal mould. After the turmoil of the Second World War and some additional years under the yoke of a centrally planned economy, the company wa re-founded in the Hessian town of Frankenberg / Eder at the end of the 1950's.

A path-breaking development occured at Scholze in 1960, when double-walled flanges, the basis of today's highly successful sytem, were first cast. Their weight was reduced to a minimum, yet assuring minimum deformation. Whirl effects were effectively eliminated by Scholze's excellent design.

Today, Scholze delivers its products with its own vehicle-fleet throughout Europe at reasonable costs and most reliable.
