Kom Aardewerk began as a family company in 1989, focusing on ceramic dishware. Within two decades, the original small store in the centre of Amsterdam developed to become a leading wholesale business for high quality tableware in the Netherlands. Its warehouse and office is located just south of Amsterdam, beautifully situated along the river Amstel, from which the city of Amsterdam derived its name.
