F.I.R. Feltrifici Internazionali Riuniti S.p.A. was founded more than 50 years ago in Turin (Italy). It is one of the leading Companies specialized in the production of a wide range of felts distributed worldwide.
F.I.R. counts two production plants with 125 employees and it exports more than 50% of its turnover.
We manufacture synthetic and wool felt (pressed and needle punched) in rolls, sheets, sleeves, cut parts and wheels.

Our production range is the following:

TECHNICAL WOOL FELT
F.I.R. manufactures a high quality pressed felt with different wool content according to your request.
You can find white, grey, black and dyed industrial felt. A density from 0,16 up to 0,90 gr.cm3 coupled with a maximum thickness of 70 mm is always feasible. Various treatments and cut parts are available on request.

NEEDLEPUNCHED FELT
We produce synthetic felt for several technical purposes according to customer’s request, mainly specialized in high density and weight (stiffened or not).

SUPERFINE COLOURED FELT
We introduce our coloured felt with a wide shade-card of more than 48 colours. We can produce the material in different weight and compositions (from 100% synthetic up to 100% wool felt).
Brilliant shades, a “good hand” and high colour fastness are the most important features of our felt.
Main applications are: handicraft, school products, exhibition booths, furniture, toys and clothing.

WOOL AND SYNTHETIC FELT WHEELS
In the polishing process the last finishing is usually done with felt. We suggest the right type of felt according to the material to be polished, whether it is glass, wood, marble, metal or anything else.
100% wool: density from 0,48 up to 0,90 gr/cm3. Thickness from 10 to 110 mm and outside diameter up to 610 mm.
100% synthetic needlefelt: 0,48 density available for the glass bevelling.
Thickness from 25mm to 40 mm. Outside diameter up to 190 mm.

UNDERCOLLAR FELT
FIR manufacture a very wide range of felt materials for the clothing industry. These fabrics are offered in a large range of weights, colours and widths to meet not only the demand of fashion coupled with economy, but also stringent requirements of bespoke tailoring.
