FibrolineTM has developed a new, patented dry process technology which replaces customarily used wet processes in the manufacture of composites and technical textiles. Fibre assemblies of all kind are impregnated with powders (Thermosetting, Thermoplastic or functional) with the help of an alternative electrical field.
The results is a perfect, homogeneous blend of powder and fibres which are fixed in a post treatment (calendering, heating etc…) This process responds to the increasing demands for cost-effective, ecological manufacturing processes, construction, floor coverings, cosmetics industries and many others…
The Fibroline process is an industrial, in-line process and has been proven to be reproducible, controllable and homogenous. The Fibroline team has developed the know-how for a broad range of applications and the parameters required to control the manufacturing processes. Key advantages of the Fibroline approach reside in the ability to control the impregnation depth, to achieve local impregnation, and to match powder grain size and characteristics to the fiber assemblies’ geometry. Optimal results are achieved with powder grains from 50 to 500 micron.
Fibroline is not an equipment manufacturer and concentrates on developing and selling its technology for different applications in cooperation with business partners. Licences will be sold on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis. For further information, please consult our web site www.fibroline.com.
The Fibroline impregnation equipment is made to customer specification by our equipment partner. The equipment allows for different product widths from 1 m to 6m, and typically will operate at speeds of 2m to more than 20m/minute depending on the configuration.
