Fil Man Made Group S.R.L.

During more than 30 years activity and a constantly increasing development, Fil Man Made Group has achieved the aim of producing high-range quality yarns using the most advanced cotton-type spinning technologies available on the market.

This positive trend continues today through considerable investments in terms of research, of implementation of the most innovative technological resources, as well as acquisitions of new companies and constant training of its’ operative staff.

Founded in 1972, Fil Man Made Group began its’ activity in Trieste, and purchased its’ first production unit in Trevignano, in the province of Treviso, in 1973 . Later, in 1980, the Group built a new plant in San Giorgio di Nogaro, in the province of Udine, which was expanded both in 1984 and in 1997, reaching a total area of 12.500 sqm.

In 1991 a new company named SUNFIL was established, with headquarters in Maniago, in the province of Pordenone, covering a production area of 45.000 sqm.

In 1997 Fil Man Made Group bought the Turati company. Thanks to this acquisition they also acquired the technology, experience and human resources that today make them competitive all around the world in the production of technical yarns.

In July of year 2000 the Group opened a new plant in Trieste, operating on 43.000 sqm with an automaed warehouse of 6.000 sqm.. The layout of the facilities and machinery employed created an absolutely innovative production unit, able to process the textile fibres of the future.

Fil Man Made Group, increasingly oriented towards an internationalization process, opened a facility in Portugal and, in Spring 2006, opened a new plant in the Shanghai area of China, in order to meet the increasing requirements for high technology yarns by the Chinese market. Resources and investments are not limited to foreign countries, and are still widely aimed at the Italian plants, which are still the backbone of the Group. In the last 4 years, apart for the acquisition and the construction of new companies, several million euros were invested in order to maintain a leadership from the technological standpoint.

In the increasingly difficult and competitive European and worldwide textile markets, this has been a winning strategy and ensures the achievement of a constantly growing turnover, reaching 140 million euros in 2004. FMMG is recognized today as a leading company in the field of yarns for technical and high-performance applications. Fil Man Made Group is considered as preferential partner of the whole textile chain with regards to the development of new products and technologies.
