Product specifications
AIJP eco-friendly digital paper range:
1) KOZO: Has the look of Japanese washi with extreme durability and the subtle beauty that kozo fibers afford. Kozo is recommended for photographic prints, high-end reproductions and original works of fine art and is particularly well suited for prints and reproductions of Asian-style works.
2) BIZAN: Meticulously handcrafted paper emits a mood of elegance and luxury while retaining the utmost characteristics of washi. This paper has 4 deckled edges and is made 1 sheet at a time by our master papermakers. ‘Bizan’ is thicker than most inkjet papers and is capable of hanging without matting or a frame. Suitable for use with monochrome and color photography and all genres of fine art.
3) INBE: Among all A.I.J.P., only ‘Inbe’ may be printed on both sides. Composed of a unique mixture of hemp and kozo fibers, the delicate “laid” pattern of the papermaking screen may be seen on the surface. Particularly recommended for printing fine and limited edition books
4)MITSUMATA: Has a smooth and elegant appearance exuding a rich yet subtle natural gloss. In order to maximize the fineness of the mitsumata fiber, the paper’s coating is kept to a bare minimum.
‘Mitsumata Double Layered’ is two-layered laminated paper; the top printing side being composed of 100% mitsumata fiber while the back ‘peel-away” side is composed of pulp. Recommended to use for scroll paintings, unique works of fine art or for antique print replicas.
5)UNRYU: Reflects a classic Japanese aesthetic with subtle cloud-like inclusions made by the layering of long kozo (mulberry) fibers. Interesting when backlit, this papers highly unique texture may also increase the dynamic expression of fine art works printed on it.
6)PREMIO: Uniquely made by laminating 2 sheets of washi together resulting in a paper with excellent weight and strength. ‘Premio’ papers are easy to print on and photographs printed on them will not wrinkle or damage if handled often. ‘Premio’s double-layering enables you to attain true vibrancy and fine expressive details within printed image
7)SHIRAMINE POSTCARDS: Faithfully made thickly one by one by master papermakers, you can use this paper with any inkjet printer. Each postcard has 4 deckled edges that will add a unique handmade look (and feel) to artwork.
