Tomo Audiolabs -the heart belongs to music, the head to Gebrüder Frei GmbH & Co.
Thomas Frei has been committed to music for some time. He reflects, in his own sound studio, on established expertise in professional audio technology.
It was only a matter of time, then, before he developed a proprietary Mastering-EQ that is able to meet the most specific of requirements.
Supported by development engineer Helmut Butz and external consultant Dirk T. Jambor, Thomas Frei has been developing the first prototypes since 2006. And these development activities have paid off.
With this product off to a successful start, we are now looking forward to more interesting projects within the professional audio sector.
Gebrüder Frei - A systematic approach to innovation
Since Gebrüder Frei GmbH & Co. was founded in 1949 by brothers Willi and Karl Frei it has developed into an international supplier of electrical and electronic devices and components that is very much in demand all over the world.
Its flexible standard solutions and, to an even greater extent, its creative bespoke developments are helping to set the benchmark worldwide in the areas of power supplies, control systems for transport technics and control systems for textile machines.
The name Frei has become synonymous with extensive expertise that is available all under the same roof: from the initial idea, followed by the planning, production and testing stages, right through to the complete systematic solution. It is our curiosity and constant desire to find a better way that inform our approach as we set about this task. LISA
The new generation of analogue mastering EQs
Since digital signal processing has been controlling the production flow, analogue sound engineering has been playing an ever-increasing role for those who aspire to an individual sound profile.
Having identified this trend, we developed our LISA EQ. A Mastering-EQ with a unique blend of EQ and integrated dynamic processing. Thanks to the combination of two shelf bands and four parametric bands, low-cut and M/S matrix, this parallel-designed compression EQ offers untold reaction potentials and subtly-nuanced refinement options.
In other words – LISA was developed for creating masterpieces!
