gera-folien was founded in 1970 by Gert Geissen, who started with a companion. The name "gera-folien" is a result of Geissen and Rathgeber. Mr. Rathgeber left the enterprise shortly after the foundation.
First products were pockets for documents, first day wallets and similar products which were not available (or only in poor quality) in these days. We still do products for filing of flat products of all kind and extend our production capabilities constantly.
We have a turnover of 8 million Euro with 50 employees, more than 50% are exported to countries from Argentina to Australia.
Robert Geissen took over in second generation in 1999, following the same company targets and methods, which are economically made office/collectible products at best possible qualities.
