FY2006 ACHIEVED OBJECTIVES Launched the GERBERcutter® XLc7000, the company's first cutter manufactured in China. Gerber designed and engineered this cutter at its world headquarters in Connecticut, U.S.A., and manufactured it locally in China through its wholly-owned subsidiary from both locally-sourced and U.S.-made components.
• Released AccuMark™ v8.2 pattern design, grading and marker making software. This release includes Pattern Wizard, a revolutionary new function that enables inexperienced pattern makers to easily generate graded patterns for quick costing.

In the late-1960s, Joseph Gerber invented the revolutionary S-70 cutter which automatically cut large amounts of material with a computercontrolled knife. Today there are more than 7,000 GERBERcutters installed in a variety of industries around the world.
The first GERBERcutter®, used by General Motors for over twenty years to cut seating materials, is permanently on display in Washington D.C. at the Smithsonian Institute’s National Museum of American History.
In 1981, Gerber introduced the AM-5, which has evolved into AccuMark™, the benchmark for pattern design, grading and marker making.
