Heyda-Werk was founded 1902 from the bookseller, Hugo von der Heyden, together with the businessman, Hermann Schlegel. Started with commercial book and learning aid works after a while the 2nd generation became grown with exercise books and articles for schools. Always focussed on paper and cardboard Mr. Hans-H. von der Heyden who belongs already to the 3rd generation got in the early eighties the idea to implement paper and cardboards which they were working on anyway for the craft market. The market potential for this segment grew permanently and Heyda became more and more a supplier for craft articles focussed always on paper. They expanded the range and are carrying now almost 10. 000 different articles. Since early 2007 Heyda belongs to the Baier & Schneider Group having most potential to keep growing.
