Iwatani Materials Corporation is a member of Iwatani Corporation. We use our motto, “flexible thinking” as a starting point for creating the future. According to this motto, we have organized a variety of divisions to provide products, services, and new value to meet our customers’ needs through the use of plastics and metals.
Our “Life Design Project” was established as a venture in May 2006, and “I’m D (I am Design) was designed as its brand name. We’re continuously making functional and beautifully designed household goods for everyday use.
Our Concept: Every products you use, electrical appliances, small objects, clothing you wear now, and tools you use everyday, has been designed. And everything you use reflects your personal taste in terms of convenience, beauty and cost. However nothing is ever perfect. What component has satisfied you? Have they all met your needs? Or have you had to make compromises? Everyone hopes to find what they really want and live surrounded by what they really like. In response to this, we at Iwatani Materials are proud to announce our new design project, “I’m D”, to make your life more beautiful. We hope to design functional household goods that will amaze you and touch your heart in terms of style and function.
For a long time, many manufactures have produced products according to not customers’ needs but their matters. But we’re trying to produce all products according to your voices. In other words, we have produced all products according to the opposite way to other manufactures. We have managed to express ourselves by our item’s name. When you spell back our items’ names, you can find their meanings. For example, “kcud” is named by “duck” because of it’s form.
