Kreenholmi Valduse A.S. KRENHOLM MANUFACTURE was established in 1857 in Narva by Baron Ludwig Knoop. When Estonia regained independence in 1991, efficient orientation to US and West-European markets made it possible to privatise the enterprise in 1994, whereby the Swedish company Borås Wäfveri AB, quoted on the Stockholm Stock Exchange, became the main shareholder. Today Krenholm Group is a vertically integrated textile company, created with the objective to achieve operation of all substructures in the conditions of free market economy and to raise efficiency to the modern European level. In 1995-2002 a total of 710 million EEK (45 million €) have been invested in equipment, construction, computer network and staff training. The vision of Krenholm Group: "To be a constantly developing European textile manufacture with customer and market orientation, corporate culture, creative product development, production technology and modern management practices." The mission of Krenholm Group: "To produce and offer to its customers all over the world natural and modern textile products and services, which have maximum added value."
