Lithuanian textile institute is a research and service center in Lithuania. It is a member of European Network of Textile Research Organizations (TEXTRANET) and a head of Technical Committee “Tekstile” in Lithuanian Standards Board.
Activities: - Research in the field of new textile materials and processes;
- Testing of textile materials;
- Conformity assessment of PPE- protective clothing (notified body No 1401);
- Technical assistance and consulting;
- Production of small lots of special textile products for army, police, industry, etc.
Facilities: - Textile processes modelling and research laboratory;
- Textile testing laboratory accredited according to LST EN ISO/IEC standard;
- Shooting range for testing of ballistic protective garments;
- Prototyping unit with industrial textile production equipment.
