LMP: Light- and stage technic for installations, presentations, shows and events
LMP in Ibbenbüren is since its foundation in the year 1980 one of the most successful distributors for the entertainment business in Germany. On an area of 5.000 m² it exhibits a wide range of lighting equipment including movinglights from ROBE Show Lighting, current LED technology, lighting controllers and dimmers, pyrotechnics, aluminum truss for stages, for use in TV studios, and shop construction as well as roof systems for events and touring.
The opinion of Uli Petzold, general manager and founder of LMP concerning the recipe for success of LMP: „Our team is always in contact with the users, developers and the production companies in the market. A consistent market research is another important proceeding of LMP. This is the reason why LMP is travelling around the world looking for new products, and supplying the industry with innovative products for newest trends. Initially LMP distributed among other things the first powerful lighting controllers to a good cost/performance ratio, following the trendy development of mirror scanners, followed by triumphal procession of movingheads including network technology etc; last but not least LED technology and digital lighting for many applications in new markets. Especially for the LED division LMP presents a brand new LED Catalogue 2007 in English and German including the whole range of all available LED products and retail prices.

1999 LMP Pyrotechnics was born into the LMP family. This separate company is selling and supplying shows and all kinds of events. LMP pyrotechnics is the exclusive importer for LeMaitre England and Wells Fireworks, and distributor of Pyropack, Galaxis Showtechnik and Universal Effects.
Since 1999 the supply of service is consequently expanded and is now another operational division of LMP Pyrotechnics (fireworks). Today this department offers a wide range of services for tours, shows or corporate events as designing a pyrotechnic show and operating it, cover services for tours etc. Last but not least the team of LMP Pyrotechnics is also engaged in research and development of special effects as for example for productions like „Holiday on Ice“.
Another reason for success of LMP is the high level of service quality. Petzold: „Our lighting studio gives a useful decision guidance for many users. It is well equipped with all up-to-date fixtures of the different groups of movinglights, LED walls and other LED equipment, colour changers, projectors, effects and the newest lighting controllers. Demonstrations, comparisons and product trainings are always possible in our 250 m² showroom.
One more thing is the powerful service department. On an area of 400 m² the “garage” offers a wide stock of spare parts. Four technicians and engineers are engaged for direct support, and are able to bring even exotic equipment back to life.
