LUXIM was founded in the year 2000 by Yian Chang, Matt Espiau, Chan Joshi and David Turner to develop emerging long-life lighting technology.
After engineering verification and receiving investment funding from Sequoia Capital and Worldview Technology Partners, LUXIM pursued the design and manufacture of market leading products implementing LIFI.
2006 was the year of introduction of LIFI to the marketplace and the start of high-volume production.
Today, LIFI is available for sale and makes a major contribution to the design of projection display and other lighting products.
