In 1945, some years after the end of the Spanish civil war and after Spain was subdued in a difficult postwar which lasted several years, the car industry began to arise. What nobody could guess at the time was, that this emerging industry, together with others, which derived from it, would be converted into what it is today in the word economy.
It was then, that the Miralpeix family with a future vision, bought a small factory in Barcelona that had been producing lamps for cars since the 20s, and started to expand with brand name “Lamparas Miralpeix”.
After several changes, in 1979 the company took the name of Manad, S.A., and manufactured its products under the brand Amolux Europe.
During 3 generations, what started as a small family business has developed into what it is now – a leading in its field. This is the result of a constant effort to keep up with new technologies. Today, the company supplies the Spanish and Portuguese market and is also has an international presence in the markets of Europe, The Middle East and South America.
