POLARIS LED compact spotlights/floodlights

One of NORKA's strengths as a luminaire manufacturer is competently fulfilling the special requirements of lighting in the meat industry. NORKA has a broad product portfolio offering energy efficient solutions for the illumination of production facilities and supplier companies in the food processing industry, production facilities with higher ambient temperatures, and warehouses and cold storage warehouses, including freezer rooms with temperatures around -50°C.

The current trend, especially in cold environments, is to use light emitting diodes (LED). The advantage of lamps with high power LEDs is that their luminous flux increases when it gets cold. Frequent switching on and off, even in sub-zero temperatures, has no effect on the luminous semi-conductors at all; in fact, they are fully ready for operation instantly. Thanks to their extremely long service life, excellent cold resistance, high luminous power, fast switching properties without start-up time, and outstanding efficiency particularly at low temperatures, they have become the light source of choice for future-proof cold storage illumination.

NORKA has already demonstrated its LED competence in a variety of projects. Various series production lights of the manufacturer are available with LED equipment. This includes the new POLARIS LED spotlight range offering large lumen outputs of 8,200 lm to 19,200 lm and polycarbonate cover screens that meet the requirements of the HACCP concept; this means that they can be used in the food and beverage industry. Combined with a variety of XENA lighting technology prism screens for asymmetric, linear or rotation symmetric light distribution with simultaneous, limited glare, the spotlight is a profitable alternative for many fields of application in the food processing industry, also outside of large-scale refrigerated logistics centres.
