In October 2011, the renowned Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow reopened after an extensive renovation and technical upgrade. The modernisation included the installation of a cutting-edge media server system for both the main theatre venue as well as the rehearsal rooms.
Based on their Media Server expertise, Pro Systems Group specified and installed eight Catalyst V4 Pro Media Servers as the backbone of the main theatre video system. To aid in pre-production media development, the rehearsal rooms were outfitted with additional custom software allowing for full previsualization of video elements prior to full-scale implementation in the main theatre space.
