In the seventies of the previous century self-adhesive materials were not considered as common as they are today. The growing market has brought a sense of consumption into the land and therefore came the idea of establishing a Slovene factory of self adhesive materials in a place called Radeče. This place has a long tradition of paper industry which is of course connected to self-adhesive materials.
In the valley of the river Sopota grew the Muflon Company, which has been manufacturing self-adhesive materials in rolls and sheets from the very beginning. Initially the whole production was based upon organic solvents. Then, in the eighties we started to use water emulsions of various glues whereas at the turn of the century we began to manufacture without any kind of environment unfriendly materials. At present the company is comprised of self-adhesive materials department, graphic department, paper converting department and palette production department.
Self-adhesive materials are produced by two manufacturing machines. The width of our products is on average 1000 mm. The range of products is extensive and defined by the selection of label materials, glues and base paper. We offer uncoated paper, coated paper, functional paper and foils while glues are permanent, stronger extra permanent, non-permanent or suitable for use at low temperatures. All glues are acrilate water emulsions. The standard base paper for self-adhesive materials in rolls is 60 gsm glassine type and for the paper sheet materials there are the 90 gsm and 130 gsm base paper with the ever more used 80 gsm.
Every year we invest in quality improvement of the self-adhesive material manufacture. This enables us to follow the trend of new materials in printing materials as well as in siliconising paper. Therefore, we can reach comparable quality with greater manufacturers, but in smaller series and also series made by order.
Graphic department has long before surpassed the idea of a pioneering plant for testing our own self-adhesive materials. The focus of our work is in pharmacy labels, permanent marking labels, food industry labels, labels and printing matter with security elements.
Target orientation in paper converting department is the manufacture of spiral notebooks and office material made of paper and cardboard as well as manufactured by order.
The company has acquired the ISO 9001/2000 certificate and is planning to obtain the environmental certificate ISO14000 in the following year.
