Rescom with BAXENDEN is presenting the Witcobond™ range of polyurethane dispersions (PUDs). These materials are used in a multitude of aqueous coatings and finishes for soft substrates such as fibres, fabrics and leather (natural and synthetic). The extensive range includes high-solids products, dispersions with low or no cosolvent (including NMP-free), and grades without APEO/NPEO or other surfactants. PUD chemistries embrace anionic, nonionic and cationic systems providing for wide pH tolerance, fully-reacted polymers for 1-K formulations, hydroxyl-functional urethanes for 2-K coatings, and latent-curing mechanisms. Baxenden is also presenting Trixene™ blocked isocyanates from its Urethane Surface Coatings (USC) Division. These products include new water-based blocked crosslinkers for textile applications such as heat-cure coatings and finishes, as well as adhesion treatments for industrial processes e.g. fibre reinforcement.
