Brief history of our company
“Past”
The essence of RIC-ART emerges in 1979, when Ricardo Espinosa, and after finishing Fine Arts, decides to start a project based on the commercialization of decoration articles, minerals, and sculptures.
Afterwards, in 1983, the experience and maturity gave way to a company, which will be consolidated in the gift world shortly.
In 2003, the company is irrevocably dissolved, and their members decide to start different ways, although always in parallel.
Twenty years of trips for purchasing the gems in Brazil, a deep dedication in the design of each piece, several representations at international exhibitions, all this together has contributed to make a child’s dream come true.
“Present”
This experience encourages Ricardo Espinosa in 2004 to recover the essence of twenty years past, and come back to the beginning, with a young team of professionals, and one single purpose, to make of the art a gift for everybody.
We present RIC-ART, a new brand, which mixes two phases, the past and the future. Things that people liked will always like, but we go further, we want to innovate, advance, and stand out.
RIC-ART manufacturers and designs each piece in its premises located in the centre of Barcelona. There, a space of 900 Sqm houses the widest assortment of natural stones and fossils of Spain.
Our recently association with one of the most prestigious company of natural stones from Brazil assures us the acquisition of the best stones, as well as quick and regular importations.
All our sculptures are made in the highest quality materials of bronze, by using the techniques of lost wax casting process and bath, and designed by our artists J.L. Casasola, J. Galván, Marcel and Soum.
In our manufacture departments, a selected group of designers joins to each sculpture the natural stones to make them become unique masterpieces, a collector’s piece of limited edition with its passport of guarantee.
All this process is carried out under the art direction and a strict quality control, which distinguishes our production.
