1083100A Punch tool
Product
Product description
In co-operation with the industrial sector, RODAC International bv developed a special pneumatic oval hole tool. The device enables a quick, facile and effective way to stamp oval holes which are needed for the MIG brazing in the car body panels.
The advantage of MIG brazing technology to join car body parts is that MIG brazed joints spread their strength over a larger load-carrying area than traditionally welded joint. There is no depositing of the base material and none to minimum melting-loss of the galvanizing. All of this preventing extra actions and material use after the brazing.
Pneumatic Punch tool 1083100A has been developed to optimally prepare car body parts before using MIG brazing technology to join them together.
Before the invention of the Rodac Punch Tool the technicians would drill 2 holes in the steel, HSS and AHSS steel and then connect the 2 holes by using a saw to connect the two holes and thus making it oval before brazing. Then the hole needed to be cleaned of residue steel on the edges of the hole due to the sawing process.
The new Rodac pneumatic tool punches a hole of 6x20 mm into steel, HSS and AHSS steel from 0,8 up to 1,2 mm sheet thickness ready for MIG brazing.
The advantages of the tool are clear; in one swift action the tool punches the desired oval hole.
The tool saves time, energy, loss of material and produces accurate and constant holes with clean cut edges.
The machine can be used wherever oval holes are required for an optimum and professional repair of a wide range of brands (e.g. Audi, BMW, Ford, Mercedes, Opel, Seat, Skoda and VW).
The machine is pneumatic so environment friendly (no deposit of electrical components; long life-time of pneumatic machinery)
