Rohtex was founded in 1889 and is now, with well over a hundred years of market experience, one of Europe’s traders in textile raw materials.
We supply polyester, polyacrylic, polypropylene and viscose staple fibers, and also polyester filament yarns and cotton comber noils. In addition, we are the German representative for the European fiber producer Drake Extrusion Ltd. (England) in the field of polypropylene fibers.
Adjusting to changes in the classical textile industry, Rohtex has in the past few decades diversified into other segments of the market. Alongside our activities on the classical textile market, we are now also an important supplier to such key sectors as the automotive and construction industries, the hygiene and medical field and a number of other branches. Every year, we deliver nearly 30,000 tons of textile raw materials for both conventional and high tech applications.
Our warehouse are strategically sited at Mönchengladbach, in the port of Bremen (northern Germany), in southern Italy, and at a number of other international locations. This decentralized structure assures optimum supply and service for our customers throughout this enormous region, from Scandinavia to southern Europe, from France to eastern Europe, and also beyond the confines of the continent. Rohtex nowadays has a total stockholding capacity of more than 7000 tons of man made fibers.
Our sales and marketing network, with an experienced, multilingual team at our headquarters in Mönchengladbach and on the spot representatives on our export markets, also operates well beyond the borders of Europe.
This logistical concept, with numerous warehouses and internationally orientated marketing channels, makes us an acclaimed and valued partner for both European and non European fibers producers.
