Sitex Protective Fabrics are UK based with over 20years of technical textiles experience and introduce CarbonX® fabrics and apparel by Chapman Innovations of Salt Lake City, USA. Our fabrics are inherently flame resistant (FR) and are comprised of a proprietary blend of high-performance fibres that provide an extraordinary level of protection against direct flame, extreme heat, molten metal, hot/flammable liquids, and arc flash hazards delivering the ultimate protection when safety matters most.

CarbonX® products will not burn, melt or ignite, and they significantly outperform other FR options. In field tests conducted over the course of several years and across multiple applications, our fabrics have consistently proven their ability to withstand heat and direct flame for up to 20 times longer than competitive products.

Laundering does not affect the protective properties of our products. Because they are inherently flame resistant, the thermal protection will not wash out or wear away. Our products are machine washable and easy to care for and provide an excellent garment life, PPE solution.

Chapman Innovations produce the patented range of CarbonX® fabrics by blending fibres to provide the optimum performance levels to meet the various criteria the many market sectors demand.

A choice of jersey or rib-knit fabrics, woven fabrics and non-woven/felts in a range of weights will provide a choice of fabrics suitable for base-layers to outer apparel and industrial applications.  The innovation that CarbonX® introduces is not just within the fibre blending, but the full solution of fabric and garment structures and we welcome the opportunities to work with partners to help resolve any of their problems.
