Tradition & Loyalty

Since the founding of Smead Manufacturing in 1906, our business principle has been to provide quality products that best serve the filing needs of our customers. Charles Smead began with a single product, the band less file. As a replacement for quickly deteriorating rubber bands common at the time, metal clips were attached to the file providing a welcome improvement to the flat filing concept of the era.
