The joint stock company STAP, Vilémov u Šluknova, presently belongs among companies which can be proud of a successfully handled privatisation process in the Czech republic. The mentioned process began in 1992 and at present it is possible to say that STAP a.s. is a private Czech company without any share of foreign capital. The company has been, within several past years, gaining back its position at the top of ranking of general success in textile industry in the Czech republic. Seat of the joint stock company STAP is allocated in the Northern Bohemia, close to German borders, in picturesque surroundings the Lužice mountains, in a small village called Vilémov u Šluknova.
At present the company has got 374 employees. Its annual turnover about 350 million CZK (14,5 million USD). Direct export share, mainly to countries of the European Union, exceeds 55 % of its production. Establishment of quality management according to ISO 9001 norm, confirmed in 2004 by conferment of the ISO certificate by CQS Prague (Czech Republic), opened new opportunities for Stap and as well brought to its customers a reliable guarantee of good-quality products. By that the company has become a suitable, reliable and solid partner for everyone interested in cooperation in technical textiles.
