Jewellery
I work very intuitive. Sometimes a special thought or theme leads me to create a piece of jewellery. Sometimes an interesting material crosses my way and inspires me to make something out of it.
The Daisy&Co collection started with a piece of my diploma work called „Sakura“. It is a brooch made from cherry wood and enameled cherry blossoms and won 2nd place at the Midora fair in Leipzig 2007.
Then I created several different blossoms in various colours as ear jewellery, rings, pendants and necklaces. The blossoms are sawn out of copper plate by hand, then forged and fire-enameled. They fit any type and age of woman, as well as every occasion.
Another type of jewellery I am producing now is the collection „Nanas China“. I grind different forms out of antique china plates I find on flea markets. These forms I carefully mount in oxidised silver and make rings, earrings and pendants. The backsides are designed to fit the frontsides. I always try to create 3-dimensional jewellery which has no „backside“. Each piece is unique in form and pattern.
