The company was founded in 1969 by the merger of J.F.Sykes Ltd & W.F. Pickavant Ltd who were both UK manuafcturers of special tools.

Today the company is located near Birmingham, England, with easy access to Birmingham International Airport.

Sykes-Pickavant is present in many countries around the world - Europe, Middle-East, Asia, Australasia, Africa and N. America - we have distributors and agents in most countries.

We have recently launched a new range of of Test Tools for TPMS systems as found on many new vehicles. Our expertise allows us to develop both mechanical and electronic tools, to ensure the user will have everything he needs in one package.

We have also recently expanded our range of Fuel Pressure testing Instruments for both Diesel and Petrol engine vehicles, to cater for modern high pressure engines.

Brake Bleeding is another area of speciality for Sykes-Pickavant. We have recently introduced new models to our range of Pressure & Vacuum Brake Bleeding Equipment. We manufacture and supply some of the leading OEMS with this equipment, and this expertise is now available for the aftermarket.

Our most traditional activity is the manufacture of Pullers & Extractors, where we have been a world leader for more than 40 years. Our programme consists of both mechanical and hydraulic pullers, light and heavy duty, and our Pullers can be found in use in a wide variety of industries - for the removal of the smallest bearings found in electrical assemblies, to the largest wheels and pulleys in ships turbine engines - Sykes-Pickavant has a solution.
