In close co-operation with our customers, we develop specialised and specific binders, additives and compounds to guarantee the quality and extend the lifetime of your technical textiles. This has resulted in new aqueous, NMP free, polyurethane dispersions for impregnation and/or coating of synthetic fabrics for mainly outdoor applications.

The latest development is a rigid polycarbonate based polyurethane dispersion with excellent UV resistance, especially designed for coating of e.g. polyamide rip stop for spinnaker material. This product stiffens the fabric without having too much impact on the mechanical properties like tensile strength and tear strength. Furthermore we offer two new polyester based polyurethane dispersions for coating of synthetic fabrics used for all sorts of outdoor exposed articles like tent material, lightweight canopies and/or awnings.

One product is to be applied as the soft basecoat and the other as the medium hard topcoat. As all products have been designed for outdoor applications, it goes without saying that both products have high light fastness and UV resistance. They also show excellent resistance to hydrolysis and the final coating will be resistant against mildew and fungus.
