Started in 2008 the company’s goal has been to provide consumers around the world with clever, practical and

great looking pocket essentials. True Utility® has a range of over 60 products, many of them patented.

True Utility® design’s it’s own collections of pocket essentials and innovative key ring accessories. The brand

is good value, with most items retailing for €6.50 / £6.50 and our most expensive flashlights and multi tools

retailing for around €45 / £40.00 making them perfect impulse buys and gift purchases. The product ranges

include: key-ring accessories, flashlights, multi-tools, windproof lighters and pocket knives.

True Utility® is well known for its original design. This year they have surpassed itself by launching many refreshing

new product ideas which will be seen at Ambiente in Frankfurt from February 15 to 19, 2013.

Below are a few of these products, they represent some of the strongest innovations ever to come from the inventive British design company. They have been designed from scratch by the talented TRUE design team. Here they are:

HandSpan: a pocket sized adjustable spanner that simply does not need a handle as it has built in grooves for torque - and it’s a 2 bit driver set and a measuring device as well!

MiniDriver: a tiny key ring screwdriver set containing 4 driver bits is not a new idea - but this one cleverly uses the coins or keys in your pocket for leverage. A simple but incredibly practical idea in a sleek designed package.

SporKnife: a very attractive folding pocket tool which manages to include in one piece a realistic knife function as well as the usual spoon and fork.

Clip TelePen: a ball point pen on your key ring that’s a pleasure to use. It feels like a proper pen in your hand yet it telescopes down to a small key ring attachment. In two stylish colours (black and ivory) with quick release clip.

 

Leather FobTool and Leather FobLite: A mini tool and a mini light, both set on a black leather key fob.  These look like stylish retro car key fobs. As well as looking great, each one contains useful tools for everyday life.

 

 
 

As well as selling True Utility successfully to over 46 countries and growing, The Scout Association has licensed True Brands Limited to produce a range of camping and outdoor products that reflect Scouting’s rich heritage. All the products have nostalgic Scout styling, but have been vastly improved with the addition of latest technology. They not only look great but they perform well too!

They are designed to appeal to everyone who loves the great outdoors, and who appreciates the classic styling. They are ideal

for festivals, camping, caravanning and garden barbeques.

Included in the initial Scouting collection are lanterns and torches, enamelware, multi tools and a brilliant Scout Knife. All the products have period styling that recalls products used by Scouts from the fifties and before.

Whilst the products use retro styling, at their core they use latest high performance technology. For example the famous Scout Torches and Lanterns are made from original materials yet inside they use modern chip technology and latest generation LEDs to produce powerful light with long battery life. The larger torches are a massive 3 watts. The LED Storm Lanterns use multiple energy saving LEDS - which are dimmable - just like the original paraffin Storm Lamps.

The attractive enamelware consisting of plate, bowl and mug features the Scout Heritage logo plus stainless steel rims. The mug and bowl come with plastic lids so they can also be used for storage - a new twist on the original.

The large multi tool looks like a classic metal tool but has been upgraded with a driver set and an all-weather nylon pouch.

However, perhaps the most notable product in the collection is the Special Edition Scout Knife made from the finest stainless steel but including brass dividers and original plastic handle covers with an inset metal Scouts symbol. It looks and feels great and unlike any other similar sized knife we know of, it includes a craft knife (5 free blades included) with widely available replaceable blades.

This really came back to me as we created this wonderful collection of historically inspired camping and outdoor products.
