Universal Spa

Universal Spa. was established in 1956 in Settimo Torinese, in the provincial district of Turin, as a producer of writing instruments.
Between 1960 and 1970, Universal emerged to be the leading industrial scale producer of fibre-pens, launching the famous brands Carioca (fibre-pens) and Corvina (ball-point pens), and affirming its mission in the education and schools sectors. This mission was further pursued through the launching of the brand UNIX, whereby the company began producing and distributing hi-tech writing instruments for the schools and technical sectors.
The year 1992 was a turning point for the company, which underwent a significant restructuring process aimed at reviving the image of the company, renewing production lines, and broadening the range of products.

The company today continues to lead the market in fibre pens, but has added brand new, innovative and leading-edge product lines to its traditional brand names. At the same time, the writing sector is constantly being augmented by the introduction of hi-tech office pens and products, lending the Company its competitive edge in terms of product quality and innovative design.
