VUB a.s. (VUB Co.Ltd.) is a legal successor of the original national enterprise which was established in 1949. VUB Ústí nad Orlicí is known in the textile world as a company with long-years experience and tradition in the field of textiles and textile machinery.

Within last 30 years a lot of important innovations - e.g. OE rotor spinning technology, multi-phase weaving technology - have come to the textile world just from this place.

Original research institute was fundamentally transformed after 1989 into the private joint-stock company with simple one-stage organizational and management structure based on the existence of independent business units (profit centers) oriented on manufacturing, marketing and servicing activities.

Within last 15 years in accordance with actual development of the market scene and opportunities low-efficient activities were significantly reduced as well as the staff (at present there are about 90 employees). Such steps were always made with the goal to keep and/or reach maximum competitiveness of the whole company.

In its business activities VUB concentrates on the exploitation of the personal, knowledge and technology capacities gathered and kept during the years, i.e. first of all on the activities based on the exploitation of the results of successfully solved research and development projects.

Main attention within all activities is focused on the quality of all processes - since 2001 VUB is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified.

Production of special and/or single purpose machinery

Design, development and manufacture of special and/or single purpose machines and devices represent most significant part of economical potential of VUB. We have realized extensive improvement of whole machinery park and replacement of original machines for up-to-date CNC centers. This part of activities should play leading role in company business also in future years.

Special textile production      

In the field of textile production VUB is focused on production of high-functional rotor spun blend yarns for special and technical application - flame retardant yarns, antibacterial, antistatic, multifunctional etc. These yarns can be used especially for the application in the production of textiles or end products - special protective and working clothes and other technical textiles manufactured and marketed under the registered trademark CLEVERTEX^®.

There are 3 basic product lines marketed under this: trade mark

 - Antistatic clothing and textiles and electromagnetic shielding textiles

 - Flame retardant clothing and underwear

 - Clothing and textile products for thermoregulation, health and wellness, relax, sport and fitness

 VUB can offer OE rotor spun blend yarns with the share of flax, hemp or 100% flax fibres.
