Representing Illinois Tool Works Incorporated, in the manufacturing and marketing of Adhesives and Sealants to the Retail Automotive and Hardware Channels worldwide.
ITW has utilized its financial strength to bring together one of the premier consumer adhesive groups, ITW Performance Polymers, Consumer Division. This Consumer Division is now a worldwide supplier of small packaged adhesives and sealants to the Automotive and Hardware Channels for both the Professional and Do-ityourselfer alike.
The Division started by joining the VersaChem® Automotive Brand and the Devcon® Hardware Brand together in 1997. This created a company with a combined 70 plus years of experience in product engineering, marketing and manufacturing. The ability to manufacture, combined with state of the art filling technology, allows Performance Polymers, Consumer Division to provide a combination of outstanding quality and value.
During 1998, ground was broken for a brand new production and office facility. Completed in 1999, this facility was specifically designed to provide the necessary features and layout to maximize production efficiency. During the planning stages, additional space was purchased and set aside to allow for growth to double the facility size.
In 2000, two acquisitions, Syon® and Qualco® continued to expand our category presence. The first, Syon®, brought unique Seal•N•Place® Repair Kits, providing all the materials you would need to complete a small repair project. The success of this package design was immediately duplicated by the competition. Next was the Qualco® brand, providing a complete Exhaust Repair Line, Lock De-Icers and Specialty Lubricants.
This catalog is the first time all of these products have been represented in a single form. It demonstrates the wide selection now available from one vendor. One company, ITW Performance Polymers, Consumer Division, can now handle the complete category for carded chemical needs.
The catalog includes three major sections consisting of Automotive Products, Specialty Purpose Products and Hardware Products. The order was chosen to provide a separate section for each, the Automotive enthusiast and the Hardware enthusiast, with the Specialty Purpose Products section providing solutions for both enthusiasts.
