The hydrophobic glass coating Aqua-X has been designed to meet highest quality standards.
The main field of application is for vehicle windscreens to increase the visibility and therefore the safety of the driver and its inmates, as well as other road-users.
Aqua-X can generally be used for any glass surface.
Advantages of Aqua-X are:
Significant increase of visibility and safety
The driver can mainly concentrate on the traffic, because raindrops are hardly visible, due to the formation of very small drops when they hit the treated surface.
The wiper system does not have to run all the time (it can be switched on the lowest intermittent position).
Raindrops slide over the surface due to the airstream and therefore the visibility of the driver is increased significantly, The effect starts, depending on the aerodynamic condition of the car, at 37 mp/h (60-70 km/h).
Easier removal of insects, dirt and ice
The hydrophobic surface reduces the adhesion of every element that gets in contact with the coated glass (also a reduction of ice build-up is achieved).
No smearing of wipers due to the hardened Aqua-X coating.
The average effectiveness of Aqua-X can be indicated between 15.000 and 20.000 km (9.000 to 12.000 miles). Several tests however, have resulted in a much longer durability with more than 30.000 km driving distance.
